C-arm Suspension Spherical Positioning of X-ray Tubes and Image Intensifiers We developed unique manufacturing technique (poses patent) for above C-type suspension. Aluminum extrusions designed for specific application are rolled and glued together into C-arm assembly. This method enables complex shapes, low weight, high accuracy and relatively small number of secondary operations.
We may manufacture C-arm per your design or we may design for you together with driving system, which we can manufacture as well if needed.
If you try to compare your present design or other proposals with ours you may find some or all of the following advantages: - Konad C-arm weight is less then 50% of the steel one
- More precise and lighter than casted version
- Easier acceleration and deceleration (stopping)
- Safety requirements easier to achieve
- Smaller motors
- Narrower (smaller size) timing belt
- Compact design
- Exceptional vibration handling
- Easier counter balancing
- Noise reduced drastically not only due to nature of aluminum comparing to steel but basically due to "sandwich construction"- few extruded shapes glued together with rails as integral but separate elements create dumping environment for the noise
- Very hard and very smooth surface of tempered steel rails assures less friction and easy smooth and quiet motion
- All together it will be modern contemporary design proved in our production since 1993 (general concept of gluing aluminum extrusions was used in airplane industry probably more than 30 years)
- The same aluminum extrusions (dies) and rollers can be used for another version of the C-arm with bigger or smaller diameter, which may be considered in the future
