Roman Siczek has many years of diverse professional experience as an engineer, inventor, manager and entrepreneur. He was born in Warsaw, where he graduated  The Warsaw University of Technology in 1976. After few years of work in the TV Research and Development Center he spent over twenty years in the United States working in R&D departments of several leading corporations. He continued product development in his own company, introducing to the market new products as well as unique manufacturing techniques. He possesses analytical skills and an innovative approach in solving problems. His creativeness is confirmed by a few US patents and many innovative projects. 

 

Since 2005 is employed by the Industrial Institute for Automation and Measurements PIAP as the project manager and leader of the team Technology Partnership Poland. Searching for new technologies for industrial needs and managing other activities which help in the technology transfer process and implementation of innovations into production  are the main activities in these projects and this team.

  • Designed Ellipsometers and cooperating mechanical systems for automation of transport and measurement (film thickness) of silicon wafers. Also experienced in design of other optical measuring instruments. Supervised drafters and interfaced with customers, vendors and production personnel.

Equipment Designer

  • Created new concepts and designed mechanics of computerized exercise equipment (E.g. “stairobic machine”).
  • Designed production and testing equipment for sporting goods such as the graphite tennis racquet, softballs, and tennis balls.

Project Leader

  • Project leader in the research and development of production technology for components of color TV tube. Designed compound dies. Supervised testing lab (for mechanical material properties). Participated in testing of licensed RCA TV materials and writing specifications for domestic equivalents.
